In tune with each other: Why 450 employees of an IT company become a rock band in just 1 hour
"We are looking for an extraordinary format to achieve something great together,” was the briefing given to the project managers at kubus IT when they contacted Klangsalon in autumn 2015.

The information event for 450 employees of the AOK IT service provider was to take place in March 2016. The organizers and management's stated goal was to engage innovative service providers who would break new ground for the planned employee event.
Making the impossible possible together
A varied program was developed under the motto "kubus IT im Takt". Location: The Dolce Hotel in Munich. Our tasks: Conception and implementation of the music workshops with the involvement of the management, jingle compositions and backline delivery for 450 participants.
Klangsalon music workshop with sporty timing
The time frame for the Klangsalon part was sporty: After a joint musical warm-up moderated by us, 3 groups were formed, each of which took part in 3 one-hour workshops: "IT security with a difference", led by IT comedian Tobias Schrödel; "Motivate yourself, otherwise no one will do it", led by motivational woman Nicola Fritze and "kubus IT in time", led by the four dynamic Klangsalon music trainers.
Rock band in 1 hour: team building without any previous musical knowledge
Only one hour to perform a rock medley with 150 participants? The project worked, of course, because we had the many
Electric guitars and keyboards were prepared in such a way that even beginners could play along “using colors instead of notes” without any problems.

At the end, the whole team rocked “Ein Hoch auf uns” by Andreas Bourani, “Tage wie diese” by the Toten Hosen and “Smoke on the water” by Deep Purple. kubus IT manager André Rentsch was on the keyboard.
