Some of our residents suffer from dementia or are bedridden. They are happy when they recognize familiar melodies or learn to press keys themselves. This simple method helps to activate motor skills and memory. Music can increase the joy of life."

Training for Fliedner-Haus, Neuss: How the Klangsalon method increases patients’ joy of life
Since 2016 we have been offering a low-threshold course on "PLAYING THE PIANO SUPER EASY"
Train-the-trainer training program.
Social services, volunteers and care facilities in particular like to book us: In crash music courses, we teach carers of dementia patients how to play well-known melodies on the piano or keyboard, even without any previous musical knowledge.
The aim of the short training program for laypeople is to enable them to activate their patients, residents or relatives themselves with the help of simple musical instructions.
Activate motor skills and memory with music
The Klangsalon method “PLAYING THE PIANO SUPER EASY” is suitable for musical group activities and the
10-minute activation in individual care.
Melanie Buss, head of social services in the residential
and meeting house Fliedner-Haus in Neuss, tested
with her employees in August 2016 the new Klangsalon training program and is enthusiastic:
“Some of our residents suffer from dementia
or bedridden. They are happy when they recognize familiar melodies or learn to press keys themselves. This simple method helps to activate motor skills and memory. Music can increase the joy of life."
This Klangsalon case study was released by our client, the social services department of the Fliedner-Haus in Neuss.
